Inspired by conversations with a friend that is very dear to me, and whom has featured in my poetry before
you seriously wink at me
knowing the simple complexity of those words
Your voice
somehow calms me
even when it is only your words on a page
and not the full music and serenity that lies in the subdimensions
of your beautifully foreign accented vowels and consonants
Your voice still calms me
assures me that there is worse
than being stuck in my mind
Your voice still makes me feel out of place
all hidden up inside the complex explanations and reasons for issues
I supposedly have
when your voice conveys the complex simplicity of
action
just being
for those around you
and yourself
