I bought a new fishing rod today not to catch a leviathan but to angle for a dainty dish and no not a fish, a lighthearted fun poem.

The Piscatorial Interlude

The Piscatorial Interlude

You can talk about a fish called Wanda
But out in the far blue yonder
There lies a fish
a delectable dish
That could cause any Man to wander

Her eyes are the colour of Cinnamon
a fact that i will not dwell upon
But given a chance
Of a slow angling dance
I will act just like Isaac Walton

For there was a man and not stayed
And piscatorial rules he has laid
you can understand why
A trout with a fly
Is just like a man with a maid

I bought a new rod just today
For fishing I hear you all say
Not at all my dear friend
It is this in the end
Just a ruse to get my own way

I have rods at home of a plenty
I suppose well excess of twenty
but my only one wish
is to kiss that sweet dish
Then give up the fishing for Lent see

Lourdes
You perfectly did explain
why such a fish could not be resisted.
Thats a compliment !

An Angler went down to the river one day,
with his brand new rod he intended to play.
And do you know what he did fish at the end?
A cinnamon- flavored Fisherman's Friend :)
