"... if we know how to know ourselves as being apart from the pairs of opposites, then we have attained to salvation."

(C.G. Jung - Seven Sermons to the Dead)

Crucify My Mind

You're the light and the darkness
The moon and the sun
The life in the summer
And the death from a gun

You're the particle, the wave
The difference and the same
The one and the many
And the ashes and the flame

You're the good and the evil
The beauty and the beast
The time and the space
From the west unto the east

You're the day that will come
Like a thief from behind
When you break into my garden
To crucify my mind

Applauded! There must be an award system somewhere for this type of achievement. Not only does it sparkle as a poetic utterance married to a mind stimulating proposition. Thanks for sharing. Bookmarked as well as applauded.

An interesting coupling of universal opposites, then bringing it back to a personal level—the thief in the garden.
