The Norwegian word for love, Kjærleik is also the title of a beautiful and sober song about love by the Norwegian folkrock band Gåte. I felt it suited this poem after-the-fact
still haunt me as demons worse than they really were
Your voice
brings me joy
To touch you
soothes me
Your smiling face
heals me
Your love
rather than being riddled with darkness and twisted beauty
is whole, stoic and bright
Let me stay here in your arms always

Kjærleik
Long gone harsh words and actions long gonestill haunt me as demons worse than they really were
Your voice
brings me joy
To touch you
soothes me
Your smiling face
heals me
Your love
rather than being riddled with darkness and twisted beauty
is whole, stoic and bright
Let me stay here in your arms always
