Cyrene Columbine Calandre Constance Cecilia Catherine

the difference between you

The weight of my crown
How turbid, my homecoming
Each time more decomposed

Dressed in ruins
I am still animal
Frightened of mirrors
Forgetting a little more each time
Ending yet another war
Returning anonymous as the pinkfaced witness
Entering the solitude of my own distance
Nothing to break the cloister of names burried
Cursed and returned
Each one engraved and hidden

Bloodwolves thirsty from the mortal void between
Excretions from an aging heart
Tempted by the light of the new thorn
Wandering restless by its iced lantern
Exiled and trapped
Erased but rescued
Now returning to the fire

You found me again naked
Our torsos flexed and dressed in avalanche
Unable to return hope unmarked

Lawrence Beck The PoetBay support member heart!
Usually, I don't like poems I can't understand, but there is an appealing wildness about this one. Also, it's nicely written.
