a passionate Easter thought

Easter Flowering by M.A.Meddings

Easter Flowering

In this love of mine
Let me be a stallion
And watch your Easter flowering
Then take you to a heavenly
state of mind

This is really good. I know there is a few lines, but very powerful. This is just on the edge of Romantic more philosophical and symbolist. Very erotic as well.

The strength in the stallion, the "watching" of the new life flowering, and then the rescuing. Wow, what a powerful showing of love. I love these images. The representation of Christ as the stallion and yet there is the sensual part. Boy, oh boy, I better get some control over myself here. lol To me it has to do with salvation and falling in love with my prince charming. I believe there is a song by Gershwin that is title, "Someone to Watch Over Me." I have some sorting out to do with this one. Anyway, you certainly wrote some thought provoking poetry here. Love it! Maybe i'm wrong, but the images of the stallion and of the flowering make me think of the rites our pre-christian ancestors are said to have performed in celebration of the mother goddess Ishtar, who gave Easter its name...
Sensuously suggestive!
