Just random thoughts on watching a burning beeswax candle

Light

LIGHT!
The orgasmic impact of flint on steel
Sustained by the treasure of a honeybee
A white fluid flame pulsing and writhing
at the end of a burning wick
To light the page of thoughts
That others have wrought
All because we must learn
And bees must procreate

Don't seem like random thoughts to me...

It (your poem) makes the world seem like a very circular, interdependent sort of place. Which it is. I think you've succinctly nailed it, and I find the images cozy and satisfying.

My organized thoughts aren't nearly so composed as this.

Few seem to care that bees are disappearing or appreciate how cataclysmic it would be were there none. When Eliot said the world would end not with a bang but a whimper I think of such seemingly small things as bees.

They don't seem like random thoughts to me, Joe. They seem well-chosen and nicely laid out.
