The Promised Land
We stood upon cavernous skyAnd breathed its blueness clear
In wonder sunk both you and I
Free from concern and fear
With eyes in distant phantoms stared
With minds so tightly bound
With silence flushed and deeply scared
Awaiting any sound
Uncertain if our frank demand
Shall longer last than us
Beyond the clouds, our promised land
And dreams we dared to trust
