I lost my mind

Methinks I lost my mind somewhere a lot of time ago
My only mind so debonair to airily stray and flow
When once I stopped and looked at skies reflecting on my self
Recalling pictures of past times and books from highest shelves
I lost my mind beguiled by that what eyes can never reach
And still I hear from back in time an echo - voice to preach
Of poets dead who wrote their lines up to the final rest
And who now cause the curse of mine - my absent-mindedness
And still I walk in futile quest and still I pray to find
What I have lost and what I miss - my sentimental mind

I hate to misspell words, caught-- not cought. It's my phonetic Spanish mind that makes me do that often. Sorry!

Galahad, I really got cought up in this one. Such a lovely style of writing. Your sentimental mind is there and I want to read it when you find it again. This is a very enjoyable poem to read.
