The exhilaration of discovering a new person seems at least as great online as off. More mystery maybe?

Discovery

Is he who he says he is?
Is he what he says he is?
And what if he is,
And what if he isn't?

Then what?

Is that really how he looks?
And what if it is,
And what if it isn't?
What then?

Is she who she says she is?
Is she what she says she is?
And what if she is,
And what if she isn't?

Then what?

Is that really how she looks?
And what if it is,
And what if it isn't?
What then?

What then?

Weird but in a nice way

I think online is online, have met some great and not so great people, some I still keep in contact with, others like ships in the night - I think the key is not to take meeting people too seriously whether in real life or cyber life - what will be will be or it won't

I often ask these questions, online and off. I'd like to think it healthy curiosity rather than cynicism but blind trust does have a habit of diminishing over time. ;)

Provocative questions indeed. Complicated by the fact that, since we can't see inside someone's brain (yet, anyway), we never really know what's going on there. But then I suppose that's what makes people interesting--the mystery of it all.

Nicely executed.

Perhaps one never knows for sure, even with those people with whom we are closest.
