Losing in the game of love

Lost in love

How immense does it feel
curled in your arms
the inner beast calmed
Nothing could take away
This moment
We drank
laughed
Together as one
But then it all
Came undone
Didn't care who was to blame
Or who was more full of shame
love shattered
what really mattered?
Completely torn apart
No more church bells ringing
Or love letters to send
Walking away
Was the saddest day
I'm sure you cried
As much as I

Ivan R
It starts so good, a love most of us want,

steering the beast away, made the poem go on further
and the reader, hoping for a good finale:
" But then it all
Came undone "

And the poem drops to a no good place, and it hurts

and as both cried,
the reader surely did
