Raven Black
Oh Raven black with pearly eyeYou come to watch the living die
You perch amid this graveyard scene
The silence broken by your scream
You hop from side to side
Across these stones so bleak
What is it in this place of death
That you hope to seek
Do you see the souls?
Leave broken shells upon the earth
Do you watch the weeping mourners?
With your silent mirth
Is the stamping of your talons
Some kind of macabre like dance
Or are you just like me
A visitor by chance.
