With thanks to Goran Gustafsson. Who's poem: A Soldier's Lamentation. Inspired this work of mine. Thank you , Goran.

WE THE DEAD OF ALL THEIR WARS

We dead lay hear , in ranks
Died in your wars
We swallowed your lies
Believed in what you said
Took you at your words
Even believed in the God you said
Was on our side

Our youth , taken from us
look for the glory you said
Would be ours
All we found was death
Death of every kind
New ways to give and take

Now we lay in ranks , rank affter rank
Of us the dead , we are not the glorious
Dead
We died , in pain , screamed for our mums
As our blood oozed out of our wounds
From our belly's rip open
Arms , legs , hanging off

We the dead lay hear
Still unknowing the reason why we do lay hear
