Whispering Mandate

Spirit of man

How cunning you are!

With subtle methods
you manipulate
our weak hearts

And with lies and tricks
so irresisitable
you seduce
all too easy
with illusions of power and control

But anyone who will
put oneself in your service
shall the day you leave
look within and cry out:

"Throw out the emptiness that crawls in there!"

(Who will listen to the voice of a worm-eaten heart?)

As one who writes and speaks American. Your English is better than some I see who speak and write it normally. I like this it has some great potential will need a few more reads to get the impact for me.
