A poem dedicated to a Tartar pet.
O Moses of the hard infernal days! The martyr slain by the Nordic Brahmans. The bard of freedom, honor and true love! Amid the bars and barbed wires of the gaols thy spirit sang of happiness and justice. Thou art a victor of the pestilence; thy righteous spear slew the evil dragon. The servant of Allah, thou now abide in grace.
Beneficent Allah, be bountiful to him, who lived and died with the heart full of righteous fire, which had demolished the misanthropic doctrine and had confirmed the right to live freely.
Eternal fame to this bright and holy man!
