I have been watching this show Cosmos (Neil deGrasse's) lately and my love for science rekindled and reached the summit it never reached before. This is a little tribute to the producers of life... to the beings which made me curious.

My Enchantress, The Starry Sky

A night full of twinkling shining fire
In the midst of a cosmic funeral pyre
The sight of a symphony of space and time
My beloved my enchantress, the starry sky

The darkness of night brings me closer to light
The purity of being, deliverance for life
An age old quest for cogitation and knowledge
A spiritual canvass, delineated envisage

They are high, they are low, surrounding this life
A tribute to my goddess, my starry sky

A million light years away, gravitating freely
Their death like a phoenix's, forging veritable nurseries
For their young ones to light our skies
The center of our attraction, our evolution and pride

The darkness, the brilliance, the enlightenment divine
My beloved, my enchantress, the starry sky

The violent fathers and gentle mothers
A family of extremes, perilous and tranquil
The building blocks, the element manufacturers
Life down here seeing that life giving mortal

A finite infinity, a never ending end
That's how my enchantress, takes her final breath

And long after we go, she here, will be
My beloved enchantress born from an infant seed
To give and give... and never recede

Thank You! That was the basic idea.. Just to show how important and... fascinating the universe, the cosmos is and how I can put everything together..

It is definitely my favorite poem of mine..
