barely seen, but there

a glimmer

among the dark and dangerous

the hateful, the evil, the dingy corners

a little light, a little hope

a little show of understanding

of compassion

that hurts no one, that helps so many

that comes from the deep well

of kindness

that we have within

to reach out

to do the right thing for the right reason

and be proud for doing it
