From my anchorage on a quiet evening the night sailors leaving port under a soft purple summer sky

Nautical twilight

Looking east by north
The harbour entrance
Rimed in burnished bronze

Small boats move
On painted water
Adorned in jewels

Red green white and gold
The colours of the craft
The message of the sea

Very calming. You paint such a beautiful picture. It is a wonderful time to watch the world finishing its day. You convey so much in just a few words.

Very peaceful, enchanting capture of a magical twilight on the sea.

how i envy and appreciate your familiarity, love, comfort, embracing of all things nautical, and your ability to convey it in words.

This is very Asian in its brevity and simplicity Joe, a few brushstrokes to reveal just the essence of a moment and place.
One of my many little Chinese prints now has the words to go with it.
