monday, monday

~

i order my world when i run

formulating solutions

setting objectives

making sense of nonsense

and beginning chord progressions on a minor sixth

now, the day after

my calves ache

and all is disarray

except for the 6 — 1 — 5

which sounds . . . which has potential

and, really, potential

is what keeps me going, more so

than solutions and objectives

and as for nonsense, some would say

it's all nonsense

on the other hand, some

speak of a universal harmonic

some of resurrection

some of annihilation

and universal order matters

only to those with time on their hands

buses are filling

with workers making their commute

the highway is already backing up

the vendors are setting out their crates of produce

and in this way there is order, sense

and objective

and a slightly more interesting chord progression

and if there is a conclusion

to be drawn, i would have to say: running, or its equivalent, is good

The music of life. You are extremely good if you can work out harmonic progressions while you are jogging. And yes life is just a progression of chords. Sometimes they run together and work, other times they are just blah :)

Woo-hoo! The return of the poem! :-) :>)
I like this, Lynn. From Larry's comment I surmise that you've shortened it since first posting. The descriptions of universal order matters and workday routines are very well presented; and the musicians of BirdBrains are not surprised that such interesting musings should follow from considering a chord progression. All applaud, Ms Bird accompanying on mini-keyboard :>)

I loved the first part, the running-and-order part. The rest left me baffled.

I adhere to all of these words in every way! Loved this more than I can express, but thank you :)
