getting lost

 

 

~

 

she doesn't lack

for confidence

 

pursuing dreams

a shade

past common sense

 

but she sees mountains

for what they were

and waves

as others' memories washed ashore—

poems

as letters 

never mailed

 

she knows

it's what's in hand

that counts

 

and if that should slip away

then

all is lost

 

~
