man humanity to man

A Mission of Mercy

He found him crumpled up in a pile of himself
behind the store
half naked hungry and smelling like
a dead skunk
He offered him his hand
but the man said "I don"t need your
help or hospitality"
He offered to give him money
but the man said "I don't need your
help or hospitality"
Then he said
to him "If you agree to take a bath,
I'll go into the store and buy you some food,"
but the man said "I don't need your help
or hospitality"
"If you agree to take a bath
"I'll take you home put you on some of my
clothes and let you sleep in my bed"
And still the man said"I don't need your help
or hospitality"
What else could he do for the man he thought
He couldn't help him of he didn't want to be helped
It was the mans' choice
If he wanted to remain in the condition he was in
Still it saddened him
that someone would choose such
a way to live.
