LIFE CAN BE LIKE THAT! THE BRITISH SOLUTION! (a mate of mine suffering the blues)

Events of the day can be seen - conspiring against you
Some one - or more - cheat you
All that can go wrong - go's wrong
Nothing is working out - all's breaking down

The British solution!

Then put the kettle on - make a brew
All looks not so bad - when can drink a nice cup of tea!
Let the day slip bye!

Oh Ken! I have just put the kettle on! Sugar and milk, or just lemon?
Here is a song which I remember from a record of the early 1960's...it was narrated by Vivien Leigh, and contained a song sung by "Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle," the washerwoman hedgehog of Beatrix Potter's story.

When the troubles of the day are over
there is nothing can comfort me
like a real, hot, strong cup of tea!

One for each person
one for the pot;
pour on the water, boiling hot,
let it brew, a stir or two..
a gleaming cup, fill it up,
a couple of sips, a smack of the lips
Oh what a delicious thing to do!!

It is beautifully satisfying,
O what could better be,
than a real, hot, strong cup of tea!

Hope your friend sees the sunlight soon.

I love a cup of tea. But if I had one every time something went wrong, I'd never sleep!

You know that is the first thing my dear old mum would do. We could have a broken leg and she would put the kettle on. Thanks mate :)
