you've been away a long time

months may pass

it doesn't matter, anticipation

has its own rewards

Harmonics

That speck there, that one grain of sand

Among all the grains of sand, that's us,

Me and you, babe, and thee, all of us,

Adrift among the expanding swirl.

That speck, be it a hint of what may be,

Be it all there is, be it God's doodling,

No matter, that speck is in discord, it is

The nature of our speck to be so, we don't

Get along, all the other grains of sand

Surely look upon us as fools. Amid the
Dissonance I hear you, babe, intuit you,

And my cosmic harmonic aligns. You,

My strummed chord, in perfect pitch,

Harmonize with the thrum of my heart.

You are musical counterpoints. These things come together and please simply because they do. The repetition of "babe" made me smile too. Nice.

Ghost of Heino
Once I took you out on the sea and made you scream all you could. And we knew then that our ghostship would always find new lands, languages and time yet not invented.
Every grain has a name.

This poem is mercurial, like relationships. It's also beautifully written.

when one speck of sand looks like another one
you don't give them a name but a number

I find the words in this poem to be very soothing. It makes me want to harmonize with all those grains of sand scattered about who mean so much to me.

I want to Zen out on the sandy beach and be one with my special grains of sand. :)
I love it.
