a poem about the tone of a speaker at an event.
his sharp tongue
cutting straight through us
the demons can no longer
bother us
they are being smothered
by the sound of the truth
The man speaking at the event
the sobbing room wipes its tears
In the lather of sweat a poker face
bent upon serious revelation
The man speaking at the event
words pouring out
of his heart colored with
deep shades of emotion
The man speaking at the event
speech running out
of him no foul breath escaping
his mouth
spoken from his heart
In a hail of cheers
the crowd suddenly
came alive!
