An edited version of 'Phobia' (2005-11-24)

Phobia.

In the midst of a shadow, I saw
The power that it can endure.
In the darkness it may shed,
Holding your wrists until they bled.

Until the black doth fade away,
Until it seeps a dying day,
The shadows smile forever here,
As life remains enslaved by fear.

Fear embraces us all. Often so subtly we will not recognize the footprints it leaves behind. A good poem. Enjoyed the read.
