2021-07-24 I would go along with a daily limit of three poems. If the adjustment suits all or most members, then we make it permanent. If not, then we tweak it once more. Simple as that.

Sonnet to a cat

2019-08-21 Despite your initial struggle (to find a suitable subject), a wonderful result nevertheless (that is your sonnet)!

ALL IS TRUE

2019-08-17 Ken, I like the way you use Shakespeare to speak for current trends (in the media)! It shows your grasp for the current flux of life through the masters of bygone times.

MEMORRYS OF YOUR LOVE BANKED (Inspired By The Work Of Kitniss)
2019-07-19 Ken, a bank account of sweet memories that you "can draw upon"? How novel a concept! But a very clever one, though (in my opinion). Your tribute (inspired by Katniss's work) does it fair justice, dear friend.

WHY SOME HUMAN BEINGS ARE GOD LIKE
2019-07-18 The examples of charity and altruism (in your poem) are very Christ-like in nature, Ken. Even the Lord Himself would be very pleased with your criteria for "...the true Gods that [you] have in mind." On this regard, you and I are of one mind and accord, my friend. Thank you for reminding us what "true Gods" are supposed to be like (in this day and age). God bless and keep you, Ken!

AS WE WALK THIS ROAD (Inspired By Marie Cadavieco Work Remembering)
2019-07-18 Very philosophical and profound poem, Ken! I like that you seem to parallel choosing to love with choosing to befriend (the friends in our lives): that it's better to befriend (them) than to never have befriended (them) at all. And yet--as with loving--the existential and philosophical profundity (of your suggestion) is very practical, too. I am impressed. Very well done, my friend!

FLY IN MY SOUP
2019-07-18 Anecdotally droll and charming (at the same time)! I especially love the non sequitur-like, final line (of your leg-pulling poem), Ken. It made me chuckle and smile. Thanks for the unexpected lightheartedness, my friend!

Remembering
2019-07-18 Short and sweet (seems to be a kind of poetic leitmotif in this forum of recent)! The warm and hospitable nature (of this poem) is pleasing. Even Mnemosyne would feel at home here (in this poem). Great job (and thanks), Marie!

THEY WERE NO GODS
2019-07-13 I concur with Katniss! We all need role models--or "Gods"--to lionize and "worship" (who are kind and generous to and with us). It fulfills a very hard-wired (in-built), human need--in my opinion.

A READER WHILE READING

Drowned In Tears

2018-05-25 In these lines I, myself, can almost feel the pain causing your heart to weigh so heavy on your soul.... Hopefully, this (struggle) too shall pass.

PROFERTEERS AND TORYS!

2018-05-18 Curiously though, I like the "dyslexic" nature of your style of writing in this piece. I look forward to reading more of your work.
