Retold reworded old joke.

FLY IN MY SOUP

I sat down ordered the soup of the day chicken soup I recall
When the waiter duly delved the chicken
I noted a fly paddling in the aforementioned chicken soup
Now I were not a happy chappy I were not not at all
So I asked the waiter - 'Whats that fly doing in my soup? '
To which the waiter replied with - ' Attempting the breast stroke I think sir '
Now the situatan became rather heated - a rit to do
The waiter took up the soup dish and emptied over my head
So I along with the fly I were in the soup together!

OK OK I'll go and sit in the car then!

Anecdotally droll and charming (at the same time)! I especially love the non sequitur-like, final line (of your leg-pulling poem), Ken. It made me chuckle and smile. Thanks for the unexpected lightheartedness, my friend!
