THEY WERE NO GODS

He she were no Gods - just human beings
Yet when to meet them were just so extraordinary
They kind of were to me kind of Gods
Their very humanity radiated from them
I always felt so much better when I were with them
Just the smile from both of them warmed my heart and mind
My spirits lifted my life not so bad has I were a thinking
They listened to what I had a need to say - heard me out
To my ups and down
With out them - well my life - well not lets not go there now
I could believe in them has they believed in me

We are all in some unimaginable but very real way a part of God. Some folks harness that and in shines through them unconsciously when they interact with others. Ken, your very fortunate to have encountered and loved these people. Well written!

I concur with Katniss! We all need role models--or "Gods"--to lionize and "worship" (who are kind and generous to and with us). It fulfills a very hard-wired (in-built), human need--in my opinion.
