For those who need awakening.
The Awakening of Venus
Paint me.
Take your finest brush
Dip it into that cup of ice water
And paint
Geometric figures;
Concentric circles;
Stars and swirls.
Now for the wide, soft brush—
Use the warm water this time
And paint
A pelican swooping towards sea;
A hawk diving for its prey;
A burning hot meteorite
Headed toward earth…
Where will it land?
And what
Will it set on fire?
