Held By The King
What embrace comparesTo that of the lion?
Fierce roar muted
To the lowest rumble;
Formidable teeth tamed
Behind soft whiskers;
Courageous heart bared;
Agile power a paradox
Of peril and protection.
To be enveloped in tawny mane...
To be held by velvet paws
Ensheathing fearsome claws...
It is a splendid and sensual surrender
Befitting royalty
