Today marks the birth of Shakespeare. The great and good will perform. My mate Malcolm , was rather good at acting The Bards great works.
Now we now remember the birth of Shakespeare four hundred years ago
On the radio on on the television - great performances are recalled
The best - The Greatest - that I recall - was me mate Malcolm Forrd
Now Malcolm - as working class as they come - builders labourer - secondary Education - left school age fifteen
Now Malcolm - loved Shakespeare - very much - loved to quote - perform -
The Bards - play Hamlet - The Prince Of Denmark
I recall after our local pub had called last orders - we three - we - with another drinking mate
Malcolm - suddenly - started - in an instant - Malcolm - became Hamlet - Malcolm hair
Was fair - so he looked the part - in my minds eye I could see him thus:
Complete with dublit - modest codpiece - in his hand he held poor Yorick's - skull -
The Stage were set - Malcolm - transformed - in my minds eye
Malcolm's performance - was just amazing - he transformed him self - instantly
No longer were we three stood outside The Wheatsheaf - a public house
The hair on the back of me head stood up - I was sweep up by his performance
Oh - if only life had been different - maybe - Malcolm - could of tread the boards
