45 read it so far, 1 comment. Read "good boys" now Turn A Blind Eye

Turn a blind eye and ignore what you read,
I knew before I wrote it, thats how it would be,
I called it "good boys" words etched in my mind,
I knew I was sharing things to the make believe blind,
Look away now and thank God you weren't there,
And suffered so badly at the hands of that mare,
I must assume you were shocked at the words that I wrote,
Your silent comments still stick in my throat,
Ignore it, and it might go away,
Let someone else leave comments, just for today,
........
But tomorrow, will you reflect and wish,
You had supported me with a word or two?
Too late now, all over and done,
No change there then,
Turn a blind eye.

How powerful! None are so blind than those who will not see.
It is a common occurrence in our society. One does not want to see the "ugly" in case it might open closed doors in their own lives. I've experienced this type of "shunning" not so much here, but in my family with repressed memories. It hurts. I don't think its personal, it's a defense mechanism. Only those who have journeyed through the trenches understand and can relate.
Continue you write out your experiences, thoughts, feelings for yourself myoull never know how much it may help someone else who may remain silent for now.
