GLORIFYING WAR!

Gave them bibles - said they were about Gods work
That the God - would be with them!
Told - God was about peace - killing - was wrong!
Except - when being about - Gods - work!
That the enemy - were unGodly! - killing - in Gods name all right!
Though - later the soldiers - met - got talking - with The Enemy
To find - they to had been told the same thing! Had much common

The Dead account grew and grew - piles of the dead - both sides
Gave to The Account - paying The Price - of war!
Some saw it as a shame so many died
The war eventually ended - most wars - do end!
The many dead remembered - by those who sent - the dead off to The Wars!
Remembered - died fore glory - died fore That God - in the name - of That God!

The glory - to con other generations - to go off to - other wars!
Those who came back - see them self's - as survivors!
Veterans - Apple's to making up - new army's of battle experienced -
Battled Harden Men!
Glory seekers - not needed!

Now I have a great interested in history - I like - I need to know just what the common man - woman thourt then and now thought then and now.
Read - seen documentarys. On war - after - them wars. British - Americans - it is said by both: '' We are survivors! '' - No mention of '' glory ''. Just being still a live!

In my opinion most wars are not about God, they are really about Greed. One side is trying to take the other's side's stuff. Control, Power, Money. War gives God a bad name.
I've heard it said those who are doing the fighting end up fighting to keep themselves and their buddies alive who are fighting to keep them alive. I am thankful for those who volunteer to fight in these wars because there are some very evil people who will do anything to get what they want, including destroying the whole world. Evil exists and Greed is Evil. Thus War! Thanks for posting this very thought provoking text today.
