Ask The River
"Are you The River?" The River he asked"I am forever." She said partially unmasked.
Too brilliantly obscure to be bought and sold
In the Roman marketplace or trading room floors,
(Behind the scenes Mistress of Dreams and Smoke)
She woke the Holy Ghost with her prayers
Surely surely
Smiling purely through the violet four o'clock air
Shaking out the afternoon violins and harps from her hair,
"I am Forever." She said partially unmasked.
"Are you The River." The River he asked?
