Heaven Higher
He called her Heaven, because her hair was down to thereHer smile was even higher than the skies
Promises of tomorrow were in her eyes,
The way her voice could sing and climb like lovely weather in the Spring
When she would look at him, smile and say, "you are my everything."
So much belief is based upon an innocence like childhood of the soul
The gaze of Beauty throws such shadows when it snows at last,
He had seen past the present joy that appeared to be her native gift
Like Time sublime his feet got crossed dividing Light from Darkness rift,
Promises of tomorrow were in her eyes
Her smile was even higher than the skies,
He called her Heaven
Because her hair
Was down to there
Her smile was even
Higher . . .
