Those killed over twenty four hours
gathered up - to lay beside each other
wrapped - in army blankets - blood of
the recently killed - oozing out on to ground
mixing with the chalk - the brown soil - a strange - coulor paste

some parts belonged to a German - taken prisoner - was being taken to a P O W cage - all four men hit by a shell fulling short - not much left at all - though the report - will tell of just three British - all prity much mixed up - not at all posable - to say who was who or what was what!
four - fell - due - a snipers - bulles - one man - went - mad - and killed an officer
then shot him - self - had an aguomant - bayonets - brute in to play - bayonets plunge in to each other - both drunk on pilfford army rum - argument settald
for all time!
at least two shot them selfs - accidentally - one pulled the pin out of a mills bomb
very messy! That accoutred fore - three more - off the roll
eighteen men all told - buried in a shell hole - grave markers - soon destroyed
the bodys not found - fore a hundred years - reburied- with out there names
