than met or seen
as actually , meeting
can be so disappointing
better , the reading
of their work
let , the work , do the talking
answer any questions
the inner minds , do the visitation

This is very true. I often get disappointed after meeting the authors. They are so different in person. I guess this is because the expectations we have while reading their works aren't met while meeting them in person.
