Remembering Gene Clark

Hey Gene Clark wherever you are in the heavenly skies
Of Indian burial grounds of sonic sounds soaring highs
You who were None Other the folk soul brother of
Spirits dancing through the dreaming trees above in love
With some more than lovely girl once upon the world
When we were young and our tribe was brave and strong
Hey Gene Clark, we hear you still your voice rings
Off the monumental walls, reverberating like deep sea
Waves waving full and free, in the disappearing country
Where fragments of the old promises yet survive and live
Giving all they have to give/Remembering Gene Clark.

listening to 'no other,' enjoying your tribute—the gospel background vocals, the tele-twang, and his voice take me home—born and buried, as he was/is, an hour's drive from my home. thank you for the memory.
