A MAN A WOMAN BOTH WEEPING - MANCHESTER (ADDISHANS)

A man and a woman, she were elderly, he were younger, he was her friend, her escort
With difficulty she walked, with a walking stick her legs unsteady, her determination gave her strength, he steadied her with his stronger right arm
He unfolded her chair, she sat down, said; '' Thank, you, dear ''
They had come togeather, came to pay their respects, yes to pray togeather
He read the cards to out to her, she unable to, she was so much weeping
The man gently held her arm, stroking comfort into her
Both prayed, now both now crying, both now weeping
In front were flowers, red roses of Lancashire
When they had finished paying their respects
The man, folded up the lady's chair, carried it, held the arm of the woman, help her away, both taking, sharing, the moment
By the way, he's a Moslem cleric, she an elderly Jewess
Both had much in common, both were firm friends
Live and let live, they believed in - lived by!
