Summer Ran
Saw you once somewhere the Summer ran
Rivers like ribbons of silver violet woven
Through the wheeling whorls of stars
Bound in cruel ropes and lipstick kisses so
With a loveliness too far gone to go again
Or ever know the secret words to say into
Like riddles written as poetry
Your mysterious asymmetry
Capturing those forever moments
Locked up in silence sweet as torments
Me to be that undone, someone can
Saw you once somewhere the Summer ran
