I SAW A YOUNG WOMAN (Also Read My Relaited Work - Four Umbrerers)

I saw a young woman
she sat in a doorway
of a shop closed down
she sat with her back
to those walking past
her back to the world
the world that had turned
it's collective backs to her
I hurried to a near by store
got food and fruit - a sandwiched
two for one bottles of drink
dashed back to give her what I had
she smiled, said: '' thank you''
I smiled back said: '' you are welcome ''
Then I got on with my day
