A little fun piece but I do hope you find the message within the words.

The spectrum of life (thanks to Ashe and Mr Williams for the inspiration)

Now Old Isaac Newton was a clever soul
That discovered why the apple fell
but this did not complete his whole
As he found other things out as well

Whilst lying in his bed one night
Musing on his work of the day
He realised the secret of white
And the thought would not go away

By a quirk of light a spectrum shone
Through a prism onto his wall
The white light now was completely gone
Replaced by a rainbows colours, all

Old Issac discovered that white's not white
But a mixture of many hues
If you're somewhat confused, that's quite alright
For it's such a striking piece of news

So what difference does skin colour make
When we are so alike inside
From the Mother Tree all our seeds did shake
That's a truth we cannot hide

I guess the moral to this text, you see
is there is no such thing as white
The colour you are is the same as me
Perhaps just a different shade of bright

I like this very much, Liam. How beautiful is this stanza:

"So now we know that white's not white
But a mixture of many hues
If you're now confused, that's quite alright
For it was a striking piece of news"

The entire poem is very well written and a lot of fun to read.
