A Faerie Tale
Her soul lovely as a faerie tale composed in bas reliefUpon violet Springs with yellow things like flowers in a cloisonne bowl
Her face was a meditation in Light cast in 3/4 pose
I always felt like such a thief as did she, one may suppose
"Anything is possible," she said. "I may stay a while, I have to go."
Still the world is made of many parts and places, ( just a thought will do )
Whatever there is
Whoever she was
Is always becoming other moments, too close to touch
Tender as burnt places are in well disguised and hidden hearts,
I only wanted all too much
So did she,
But what, was not for me to say that was all so clear
Just the way the Light would play at pantomimes and shadows
As the Night brushed her hair against my skin,
Sometimes a fantasy appears from nowhere to kiss your eyes
To stroke your mind with silken whispers, painting 'want you' in the trees
You never saw what someone sees,
Until now; when everything eternal is very brief
Her soul lovely as a faerie tale composed in bas relief~
