Oh the irony of all those deaths - all that suffering!The young marched off to war - no rights then to vote!
Have a property involved - to have The Vote!
To die in their hundreds of thousands
To defend democracy!
Woman did their bit on the home front - womande up
Armaments factory's - womande up the workforce!
Womande up trains and trams - womande up
The secret port at Richborough - Pegwel Bay - Ramsgate
Oh the irony!
Thousands of the young men - and the not so young
Who died HAD no vote!
AS for the woman - had no vote till 1918!
And then only woman aged 33!
Oh the irony of THAT WAR - THE WAR TO END ALL WARS!
