THE JOY OF BEING IN HER COMPANY! (SAPSHOT WORK)

There's a bench in Ramsgate High Street
Now this bench nothing special at a glance
Yet in my experiences - there is something
Something special about the park bench
I have parked me self there - many a time
Some comes a long - parks them self down
Smiles exchange - an instant conversation
Begins

Take yesterday, I'd just sat down on my favorite
Bench
A woman soon came a long sat beside me
We said hello to each other, a woman of overuse
Ethnicity
I ask her if she were on a day trip - Ramsgate
Only seventy five miles from London
So coach trips during the summer are often too hear
Abouts!
We exchanged names, she on hearing my name, Ken
Came up with a smile, and asked me ; '' any relation
To Ken Livingstone? '' - a well known London politician
She asked me
I said '' not that I know off '' ; '' Mind me dad were in the navy! ''
'' So who knows for sure '', may be a story there! '' we laugh, and grin!
'' I'm from the East end '' ; That were overuse to my ear
I attempted chatting as a cockney, sending our self's up
Outrageously!

She laughs, WE BOTH laugh, laughing with each other - at each other
She said she work two jobs early mornings - late at night
How she loved - enjoyed day trips to the seaside - her brakes from London
She found the locals so very friendly - weather they be in Clacton - Essex
Southend - even Margate! - how perverse - I'm thinking!
There is rivalry with Ramsgate and Margate - that's for anther writing!
Her Eastend, accent, a joy to listen to - with her ethnicity - in mind
I asked her if she were of Caribbean origin, with the Windrush - generation
A topic in the news, is why I asked her - '' no I'm not Caribbean ''
She smiled - how she smiled!
I saw she had shopping bags ; '' Did you find some bargains? ''
She smiled ; '' Oh yes I have! ''
We talked - talked of strangers - are only people - we have yet to meet
Meet and get to know yet - strangers can become - good friends
Believe - in that short time - we became good Friends - well met!
She got up we shook hands - she went off to view Ramsgate Harbor
As I had recommend it to her, to see before she got back on the coach
To go back to London, and take a look at Ramsgate sands - and of course the see The sea - have a paddle in the warmish sea!
Oh the joy of meeting her and chatting on park bench in Ramsgate High Street!

What a marvellous encounter, Ken! She sounds charming. I hope you see her again for your sake and hers.

Well written as well!
