this for Larry, written by an old acquaitance
skanky behavior is not, ordinarily, the cowboy way, but it happens
The Cowboy Way
There in the bar, as he's leaving
she sees him put on
his cowboy hat, an old, mashed-down, straw hat.
She watches him, though he never notices her,
until, in his rear-view mirror
he sees someone flashing their brights.
Being a cowboy, and being the cowboy way,
he pulls over, stops.
What's the trouble little lady?
Fifteen mintues later they're at the Rest Haven Motel
and they ain't restin'.
A cowboy never says no to a lady.
