Hearing Lonely

Another day without your smile
Hiding inside, only clouds for cover
Thoughts replay themselves on trial
Of judgement made, never really over

Time the tides may ebb somewhat soften the flow
Often think about what could have, but now seems no
Improbably slow impossible to know
What never comes around to pass is so

Long ago, but that was once again
Raindrops crying silver tears into the ground
Holding only your ghostly refrain
Like a sighing shiver hears a lonely sound . . .
