My best shot

I gave it my best shot,
I did my best,
My best fell short,
I best consider throwing the towel in,
I thought my best efforts at writing poetry was up there with the best,
I was wrong,
The best thing I can do now is call it a day,
I best move on,
Bye.

A poet writes to be read Mick
Here we are read
A poet may never know who's reading
Mostly never knows who reading
Rairly knows the affectes of the poets words the poets has
Has upon the reader
Readers think has they reader after being reads affected
That only the reader will know
The poet carry's on should must carry on penning
For the reader needs to read poetry what the reader finds with in
Only the reader will know
The poet just need to know some one some wear some one is reading
So Mick keep on typing writhing out your poetry please

I hope it's not goodbye. It can be disappointing when you write something and don't get feedback, often it is hard to express what a poem makes you feel, particularly when it really hits you between the eyes.

Keep on writing, it is something which a poet has to do to be happy!
