THEY SAY A FRIEND OF MINE HAD DIED (Inspired By The Work Of Jim)

They told me a Friend had died
They missinformde me I don't buy it
They do not know that my dear Friend
Pops in we talk my dear Friend listens
Same has before
I think out to me dear Friend
'Cos I know my Friend is listening
Tell each other jokes
Has we always have and will ever do so
My dear Friend you see never died lives on
Lives on in my mind
Has a poet said to paraphrase Tennyson
'Tis better to have had the love of a Friend than never had that love at all

Friendship, like love, endures. There is truth here, Ken.
