Crying Heartache
It was the end of an era, voices crying heartache in the nightMillions lonely hysteria, always dying can make dark from light
There were angels in captured amulets, singing spirits of the air
Frantic eternities and empty moments, lovers kissing on the stair
Someone missing the last few words were whispered in the shadows and rain
Only guessing the past flew, worlds collapsing, an ominous refrain
Was on the lips clutching close at something slipping from the hips summer rose
Like a garden, like an ocean, a forest kingdom, no one knows, so suppose
Millions lonely hysteria, always dying can make dark from light
It was the end of an era, voices crying heartache in the night . . .
